Session Title: Creating the West Coast’s Busiest Transit Hub

Over the next decade, San Jose’s Diridon Rail Station will be transformed into the busiest transportation hub west of the Mississippi, a key stop along the country’s first high-speed rail line that will connect Silicon Valley with the rest of the Bay Area and state in an unprecedented way. Attendees will learn how SPUR has launched a multi-year project that looks at other stations and station districts around the world for best practices and cautionary tales. Come learn more about what is in the works for this crucial hub through a walking tour of Diridon and interactive Q & A.

Note: if the weather doesn’t permit a walking tour attendees will instead enjoy a presentation in SPUR’s Downtown San Jose office with a slide deck and Q & A.
